On March 4, the 2023 Second China-Thailand (Changsha) Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum opened.
Former Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Thai-Chinese Cultural and Economic Association Mr. Bhokin Bhalakula, Secretary-General of the State Council of Thailand DR.Sommai Eiamsaaro, and Chairman of the Thai-ASEAN Economic and Trade Promotion Association Xiao Guogang led a team to Changsha to participate in the forum

The forum focused on the implementation of the "Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement" (RCEP), and jointly discussed the new trends, new prospects, new fields, and new challenges of China-Thailand economic and trade development under the new domestic and international dual-cycle development pattern, and focused on innovation between Hunan and Thailand. Further deepen cooperation and exchanges in trade, investment, building materials, tourism, mining and other fields.
China and Thailand are important economic and trade partners to each other, and China has been Thailand's largest trading partner, largest export market for agricultural products, and major source of foreign investment for many years. Against the background of sound development of Sino-Thailand relations, friendly exchanges between Hunan and Thailand have continued to deepen, non-governmental exchanges have continued to expand, and economic and trade cooperation has achieved fruitful results. A multi-level, multi-channel, and all-round cooperation pattern has been formed.

Good Night Home Furnishing Group and Hunan Mengjie New Material Technology Co., Ltd. signed a contract to settle in Thailand - - Thailand ASEAN Industrial Economic and Trade Park; Hunan Overseas Travel Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation project with Thailand Just Travel Transport Group to exchange tourists between the two countries; Taizunxiang Import and Export Co., Ltd. and Hunan Dacheng Huanqiu Health Medicine Technology Co., Ltd. signed a Sino-Thai Chinese medicinal material industry cooperation project...
Yang Qingzhu, chairman of Thailand-ASEAN Industrial Economic and Trade Park, introduced: "Currently, the Thai-ASEAN Industrial Economic and Trade Park, with a total investment of more than 500 million U.S. dollars, has settled in more than 400 building materials and home furnishing companies in Hunan. Many industry companies have taken root here, and they are prosperous."
The total scale of the economic and trade park is 890 mu, the first phase is 280 mu, and 50,000 square meters have been built, integrating the exhibition center, hotel and storage;The second phase will build overseas warehouses, factories, etc., and will build it into the largest distribution center for various enterprises in the ASEAN market, promoting win-win cooperation between Hunan and ASEAN.
The forum lasted for 2 days, and held several forums such as the China-Thailand International Tourism Cooperation Forum, the China-Thailand Mining Investment and Trade Forum, and the China-Thailand Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Cooperation Forum.
